At Focusify, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use the Focusify mobile application ("App").
1. Information We Collect
Focusify is a Pomodoro, Task Management, Calendar, and Reports application. We collect data in the following ways to provide you with a seamless experience:
- Personal Information: If you sign up or log in using an account, we may collect your email address, username, and profile information. (Powered by Supabase authentication).
- User Content: We store your tasks, categories, Pomodoro session logs, and calendar events so you can sync them across devices.
- Local Data: Settings, preferences, and local notification schedules are stored directly on your device using local storage (Shared Preferences).
2. Device Permissions We Request
To function properly, Focusify requests the following permissions on your Android device:
Internet Permission
Required to sync your tasks, profiles, and data with our secure databases (Supabase).
Notification Permission (POST_NOTIFICATIONS)
Required to show Pomodoro timer completions, break alerts, and task reminders.
Exact Alarm Permissions (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM)
Required for precise Pomodoro timers and scheduled reminders to ring at the exact millisecond.
Vibrate Permission
Used for subtle haptic feedback when a Pomodoro timer ends.
Wake Lock
Prevents the phone from sleeping while a timer session is active if configured.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and sync your task management data across devices.
- Send you reminders and notifications about your tasks and timers.
- Analyze anonymous usage statistics to improve the App's performance and design.
4. Third-Party Services
We may use third-party services that collect information used to identify you:
Google Play Services
For app updates, store services, and general Android APIs.
Supabase
For secure authentication, databases, and secure sync of your data.
5. Data Deletion and Retention
You can request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at our support email, or directly from the settings page inside the app.
